Dr. Ashwin Jaikishen
Dr. Jaikishen grew up in Lafayette, La. He graduated from Episcopal school of Acadiana and then pursued his medical degree. He graduated summa cum laude from American university of Antigua. Dr. Jaikishen completed his internship and residency in Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC), Lafayette, La. He served as Chief resident of the medicine program during his third year. Dr. Jaikishen then completed his Nephrology fellowship in LSUHSC, New Orleans, La. During fellowship he was awarded outstanding sub specialty fellow of the year.
Following fellowship, Dr. Jaikishen joined New Orleans Nephrology Assoicates. He currently serves as medical director of Fresenius dialysis units as well as Fresenius medical advisor board member for the Miss/sela region. Dr. Jaikishen is actively involved in value based care and serves as Louisiana medical director for Interwell Health.
Dr. Jaikishen currently holds active privileges in East Jefferson General Hospital and New Orleans East hospital. He is medical director for acute dialysis in East Jefferson General Hospital. He maintains courtesy privileges in St. Bernard Parish Hospital. Dr. Jaikishen sees offices patients in Metairie and Chalmette. He cares for dialysis patients throughout the greater New Orleans area.
Dr. Jaikishen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. Jaikishen lives by the motto "work is worship." For him, each interaction with a patient is an opportunity to guide them on their journey to health and well-being. His approach centers on making patients smile, knowing that a positive atmosphere contributes significantly to the healing process.
